I wrote this article for Agar in 2020. It seems to me that, whilst we now have a whole new set of factors to consider, most of the questions I raised when we were mostly working at home still apply as we get used to more physical contact with our colleagues.
The key point is that neurodiverse employees, just like everyone else, thrive when the environment is right and when managers are prepared to listen to their needs. Why not take a leaf out of Nationwide’s book, and consider offering everybody the flexibility to work at home?
